KAHOKA, Mo.- A Clark County man has been arrested on a number of charges including kidnapping and sexual abuse. David M. Sherrill, 36 of Kahoka, was arrested by the Kahoka Police Department on Tuesday, June 11th, at 3:42 pm.
Court documents state that on Sunday, June 9th, Sherrill was in charge of the care and custody of a minor less than 17 years of age when he allegedly provided alcohol to the minor and engaged in sexual touching of the victim’s lower private area over their clothing. Additionally, Sherrill is accused of unlawfully confining the victim without their consent for a period of time.
Sherrill has been charged with 2 counts of 1st Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child, both class D felonies, as well as 1st Degree Kidnapping, a class A felony. He is also charged with a class C felony of 1st Degree Sexual Abuse and alternatively charged with a class E felony of 4th Degree Child Molestation.
Sherrill posted a $100,000 cash bond. He is scheduled for arraignment on Thursday, June 20th, in Clark County Circuit Court before the Honorable Holly Conger-Koenig
